Day 5- 3/13/10- 207lbs

It is amazing how much of a food addiction I am confronting.There’s no dramatic withdrawal symptoms, except that I am amazed by how many times throughout the day I go to reach for something to snack on. It is so similar to the days long ago when I smoked.  The good news is that, in those moments, there are two options- drink a glass of water, and find something constructive to do. And yes, doing nothing can be constructive from time to time…

I am unashamedly at an advantage in this weight loss- I was eating whatever I wanted whenever I wanted… and late at night, at that. Simply eating right and working out is, and will be, showing rapid results. When the plateau comes, it comes. I am OK with that. In the meantime, I am enjoying the surge.

By the way… the picture above? This is yet another reason why I am getting in shape. These guys deserve an healthy, active and involved Dad. And that they shall have.
